Step GST Online Business Registration Process 

This is easy 5-step GST business registration process


Step 1: Go to GST Portal 

Click on "Register Now" against top tab 'Taxpayers (Normal/TDS/TCS)'. 


 Step 2: Fill Part A – Basic Information 

Enter: 

- Your business name as would be displayed in PAN 

  • PAN number 

  • Email and phone number 

  • State and district 

  • OTP received on phone/email along with a Temporary Reference Number.  


Step 3: Fill Part B – Business Information 

Login using the TRN. Now fill: 

  • Business contact and address details  

  • Bank account number 

  • Business type 

  • Authorized signatory details 

  • Upload documents, if applicable 

  • Choose the type of business (sole proprietorship, LLP, etc.)

Step 4: Verify and Submit

  • OTP verification (individual/proprietor) or 

  • Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) (LLP/Company) 

  • You will get an ARN (Application Reference Number) for tracking your application. 


Step 5: Wait for Approval 

If everything is correct, you’ll receive your GST certificate by email in 3 to 7 working days.

Once approved, your GST registration certificate will include: 

  • GSTIN (15-digit identifier)

  • Trade name
